Do people from Africa play WoW?

Playing in the states I miss out on a lot of the rest of the world.

This topic makes me curious about the Middle East. I don't see why they wouldn't play, but I don't hear many people on these boards at all stating they are from UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Syria or Lebanon.

I wonder how bad the lag would be.

If I recall, South Africa is pretty modern. That said, I think I've played with a couple of people from Egypt as well, though I don't remember their names.

And to answer your question: Yes, they do play wow.
I had one guy from Africa in my Guild once. Although he couldn't get online "all the time", he was a core raider of the guild.

We also had some guy from Afghanistan, who was in the middle of the war playing wow (No, seriously, we actually heard the bullets from the street).
