Funny Vent Channel Name

At the risk of derailing the thread, what is the point of private vent channels like that? I've been in a few guilds with them, but no-one every uses them.

Surely the point of being on vent (other than raiding) is to hang out and chat with guildies, so you use the lobby or a public channel. And if you don't feel like chatting with guildies, then just leave vent.
