Nice, very shadowmourne for Ret. Wonder if the thing attacks too, would be pretty odd if it just buffed you and then stood there.

Wonder what the cooldown will be...2 minutes? 3? 5? Hope not 10 :/ Ret one looks pretty powerful.
Meh considering how prot can reduce cooldown by up to 3 min, it will probably be 5..or 10 :/

hmm so judging by the info on the Ret buff it will be an attackable mob like a Gargoyle for DKs... I thought it would be more like the Nibelung valkyrs that do damage but can't be targeted.

The prot version seems rather dull (reducing damage taken by 60%)
As for the cooldown, if you guys read the comments in the links it was 60 mins and there were talents that reduced it, but since those talents have been changed I would assume the cooldown has as well so it could be 6 minutes.

A five minute cooldown sounds about right for the current talent trees; the Protection talents would reduce the cooldown to two minutes, which is the current cooldown on Divine Protection (which this will be replacing as our major defensive cooldown).
Retribution already has Avenging Wrath and Zealotry on two minute cooldowns, so a slightly longer cooldown isn't going to hurt them too much. The current tooltip for Ancient Power says 20 strength per application, so it's likely a stacking buff - possibly stacking to full as your Guardian attacks the target or starting at full and gradually weakening as your Guardian gets closer to despawning.
oooh this sounds pretty coolso Holy get a lil healbitch who stands next to you topping up your targets (this will be far more useful than it sounds now, as we wont be overhealing as much), Ret basically get the Shadowmourne proc, along with an agro pet smacking stuff and Prot get Shieldwall, to replace our current Div Prot, which is being turned into a sort of Barkskin/Shield Block style spammed cooldown, nice.
I'm guessin the CD will be 5/6 mins, with prot able to lower it to 2/3 through SotT.
now that we know all the functions are useful, I'm just praying that the graphic is cool![]()

Yeah, i'm a bit disappointed too. I still stand by the fact i wanted it to be smiting or meleeing targets, throwing heals, and shielding people for each spec, but focusing more on whichever was more suitable for the casting paladin's spec. Now, it's just another overpowered cooldown that does absolutely nothing interesting for me as prot.
Also, i recall it being 5 minute CD base, but i don't remember where i saw that.

Ret one is great. I wish the prot one were different. 60% is a huge CD, and its really good. But I would have had it do more than just be a huge shield wall. Something less bland, like protecting us from dmg but also the dmg that is mitigated is the amount of dmg that the Guardian does back to the boss as threat for us. That would at least be interesting.
