    Leo Darkwind

    Name:Leo Darkwind
    Age: 28
    Race: Human
    Gender: Male
    Class: Rogue
Personality: Generally cheery, not greedy but he enjoys wealth.
Likes: Adventure, his luxurious lifestyle, respects rising to power.
Dislikes: Removal from his luxurious lifestyle (although he will deal with it during an "epic adventure"), people born into power (kings, lords, etc.)
Appearance: Average size and build for a human, dark hair, typically wears dark colored armor on the battle field while preferring more expensive clothing otherwise. Typically wielding two daggers, on occasion a sword or a gun, rarely an axe. Carries a small grappling (hook) gun on him at most times.
Strengths: Speed, dexterity, lock picking, stealing.
Weaknesses: Upfront fighting, strength, occasionally traitorous (depends who pays him better), cowardly (on occasion).

History: Leo grew up in a dirt poor family on a small farm in Redrige, far away from any town. Redrige wasn't the best place for farming, but local produce was needed, so they were payed decently when something grew .There usually wouldn't be enough food on the table, and all his clothes were constantly dirty and worn. Despite this he lived a happy life, doing his chores around the farm, content in his rural environment. One of his favorite pastimes would be to explore the nearby woods, repeatedly landing him in dangerous situations. Running from wild beasts and climbing those many cliffs made him quick and dexterous. About a month after he turned 18, a local town decided to hold a soon to be annual festival at the ruling lord's large estate for everyone to enjoy. Leo had only been into town on a few occasions to pick up provisions or sell produce, and he was exited about the rare opportunity. His family set off for the estate, and Leo was shocked when he got there. Everything was so bright and new, everyone was enjoying themselves, and there was plenty of food. He had an amazing time with all of the guests, but eventually it was time to leave. After the long ride back to his house, he was slightly dismayed by his house. It seemed much more dirty and worn down than the large house. All of a sudden everything had changed. He was appalled by the food and the small portions, bored by his daily chores. He had a taste of the expensive life, and there was no going back. He began to spend more and more time in the woods, ditching his chores in the process. His parents were upset and tried to get him to work, but Leo wouldn't hear of it. Eventually his parents just stopped trying, telling him that running around in the woods would not help him in the real world. During this time in the nearby villages, there was a mysterious streak of disappearing items. The objects typically held little to no vale, so the villagers dismissed any idea of thieves.

When he turned 19, Leo seemingly turned back to normal, preforming his chores and returning to his happy self as time went on. The nearby town soon held its second annual festival, and Leo seemed oddly quiet during the entire trip. The festival started without a problem, and quickly everyone was enjoying themselves. If one were to look around, they would not have seen the high spirited boy form last year, although that was hardly on anyone's mind. The festival kept moving, and eventually the lord announced the banquet, and then opened the doors of his house to eat inside. The crowd was shocked when they entered the house, as it seemed surprisingly empty. Most of the valuable items in the house were long gone, one of the lord's prized horses was missing, and a couple guards had been knocked unconscious. The remainder of the guards said that they occasionally heard some footsteps, but they dismissed them as a drunken party guest, maid, cook, etc. The lord was furious, firing some of the guards on the spot and sending everyone away. The Darkwind family looked around for their son, but there was no sign of him anywhere near the party. Leo was already far down the road on a ferocious black horse, carrying saddlebags full of riches.

He stayed in Duskwood for a while, training his skills on the unsuspecting travelers, under the cover of the near constant gloom and darkness. He heartily enjoyed this time, being on the run from the night watch and climbing onto rooftops reminding him of his younger exploits in the forest. When he turned twenty he left for Booty Bay. When he arrived at Booty Bay, he was overjoyed with what he found. He had never gone to a large city before, having lived only in Duskwood and Redridge, and being in the port city for the first time was just like the mansion party of his youth, only this time there was no one to tell him to leave. He was awoken a week later by the business end of a sword. It appeared that the young rouge had both borrowed and "borrowed" some money from the local Bloodsail pirates, and they were not happy when Leo could not pay them back. They decided to put him to work on one of their ships as a lowly deckhand until he could pay back the money he owed. Leo was not entirely happy with the arrangement, but there was nothing he could do about it. After a while of working on the ships, he was eventually promoted to a regular pirate, and although the Bloodsails would be taking a lot of his haul, he was overjoyed at the prospect of fighting once more. He had a good couple years with the Bloodsails, pillaging and looting and razing coastal cities, honing his skills all the while, and by the end of his run he had quite the good reputation with them. He had fun, but he didn't want to stick around. He had his own adventures to pursue. He was last spotted in his private abode in Booty Bay.

I enjoyed the read immensely... props to you. Might want to fix up some spelling and 'guest, maid, cook, etc.' sounds a bit iffy.

A very humble and subtle start. Well done.

There are touch ups it could use, but other than minor fixes, it looks great.

As one who writes epic stories, take it from me...you're going to be forever chasing typos...I'm still doing it on my stories. lol
