The OP chose fashion over function when selecting a laptop. His fault, his loss.
As usual, this is desending to Apple vs PC, and serious gamers know which one is better.

Heh, and guess what? Since it's a mac, you get to go drop 1500 on a new one! Yay!
I got a mac book pro..and it gets hot when i play...though i only play on it as a temp fix..its never good for your video card to stay hot for a prolong period...i would recommend playing on a laptop for no more than an hour..if u plan on playing longer than that..go desktop
A friend of me got the same problem
He couldn't play for a week...
all i can say is that TBC ran just fine on laptops. then wrath came out and it made any laptop run hot, even with a cooler and vid settings at min.
Well, your first problem was buying an apple.
seriously there are people ITT that should never own a computing device.
Of all of them though I think the cake taker is right here:
i bught apple to use an editing program cause i am an editor
Really? you paid too much for a laptop that you knew nothing about because it had a program that you may have needed. And you stressed this laptop out gaming and it did what most good looking stupid things do all the time: it crashed and burned.
Seriously - gratz.
Next time buy a PC. Make sure it has a butt load of fans. Clean it regularly. Don't sit it on the carpet. Download whatever you need from the internet (no don't steal it - buy it) Stop getting ripped off by lap top manufacturers that sell rubbish.
Next step is to stop playing wow obsessively and learn something about the device you sit behind for that many hours.
The other day, I put my fancy blue saddle on my cat and starting riding it around the living room. After a few minutes, it collapsed in exhaustion and its entire rib cage was crushed.
Has anyone else experienced this problem with fancy blue saddles?

Also, since this is VERY quickly degrading into an Apple fanboi vs. the world debate: I'm with the rest of the world. I'd rather not pay twice what my hardware is worth just because it has a shiny white apple logo on it.
Large selection of games to play and the ability to upgrade vs small selection of games and proprietary parts. I think I'll stick with my PC. :P
Seriously though Mac's aren't THAT bad, I just haven't found one I liked.
To the OP, you're lack of basic maintenance or system age most likely caused the problem, not WoW.
Welcome to the mac Experience
Oh wait.
Successful troll...
True though, I burned my hard drive out on my normal MacBook. So I'm buying an Asus now, goodbye shitty FPS and overheating!
I once had a character named "Clamslam" but Blizzard deemed it inappropriate.Retired from WoW: February 19, 2011. It was fun Blizz.
