World of Warcraft: Panderans reveal at Comic-Con 2010

First of all, the title is correct. The name appears as mispelled in various book databases. I know that the race is called Pandaren.

Now, the news: User Lon-Ami, from Scrolls of Lore posted this yesterday at the forums: scrollsoflore.com/forums/showpost.php?p=217259&postcount=459

The first shoot is from a preview of "Curse of the Worgen", the new mini-series (Ashbringer-like). It was took at Wildstorm's Panel in Comic-Con 2010.

After the CotW preview they "accidentally" displayed the following image:

And attendants claim that the staff started to yell stuff like: "That´s not supposed to be there", "Get that off the screen or we'll get in trouble".

So, what's your opinion about this fellow posters? (Besides that "accident" thing is a blatant hype-maker, and totally fake :P).

The "oops" sounds like a slick promotional stunt, but a nice way to slide it in, nonetheless. I just want to know what it means.

It's pretty obvious that it's a joke. Pandaren are never coming to the game, Blizzard already has said it was just for a joke mission in Warcraft 3.

If they added this as a playable race there would be tons of drama

Why would there be tons of drama, out of interest? Goblins and worgen/Gilneas were previously neutral before becoming playable?

By the way, if you mention the old "China" excuse, you clearly don't have a clue.

For many years there were players asking / speculating about Pandaren and Worgen as player race..
Most no-fanboyers would claim that there would never by any chance be a playable pandaren or worgen race...

Now we all know how this turned out.

Considering how popular they are and how easy it would be to hype a new expansion with playable pandarens, I highly doubt Blizzard will not add them.

(My bet is on Naga or those other bear-freak things as a counter race)

Oh how wrong you are I know how to embed any file I want inside of a Jpe file and extract it when I want. I use that a lot to smuggle semi-dodgey things like Serial Keys/keygens etc inside of "box art" pictures, and that is just with extremely basic coding knowledge. A good coder could easily embed something nasty inside a .jpg and have it execute on download etc, but if someone went to that length on a public forum id be extremely surprised.

I don't know guys, I think blizz loves to slip in little teases like this just to keep something like the pandaren alive within the community. I don't think much will come from it.
