[Just for the hell of it] Racial Prestige Classes.

EDIT: Changed Primalist to Blademaster. Going to go with more original race specific classes than the ones I had already picked out.

Been playing a game of DnD recently, and it got me to thinking of prestige classes, had a few ideas floating around in my head and thought I'd write them down for the sheer fuck of it. Before you go on, I know that there is little to no chance of these things ever happening etc etc, just thought I'd write them down and see what people thought of the ideas. Each race would have one prestige class that could fill a certain niche. Will give an overview of the class, it's specs and a few of its abilities. Each prestige class is based off an existing class which I think best represents the race they belong to. Although none of the prestige classes are just x class with this spell, they are influenced by that class in the types of abilities they have and the resource system they use.

    1. The Horde
    1.1 Orcs - Blademaster
    1.2 Tauren - Spiritwalker
    1.3 The Forsaken - Lichling
    1.4 Trolls - Witch Doctor
    1.5 Goblins - Mechanist
    1.6 Blood Elves - Spellbreaker

    2. The Alliance
    2.1 Humans -
    2.2 Gnomes - Technomancer
    2.3 Dwarves - Runebender
    2.4 Night Elves -
    2.5 Worgen -
2.6 Draenei - Hand of the Naaru

Can't think of any for humans, nelves or worgen at the minute, will get around to them eventually, or if anyone wants to PM me a class idea, I'll do a write up of it instead.

    1. The Horde

1.1 The Orc Prestige Class: The Blademaster

For years the few remaining, uncorrupted Blademasters have served Warchief Thrall as trusted advisors, strategists, bodyguards and generals. With Thrall away, and Garrosh in charge, the Blademasters have decided to begin teaching a new generation in the ancient arts of blade and stealth. Fully trained Blademasters are a sight to behold, as they dance amongst their foes, leaving blood and bodies in their wake. Unlike their fel-orc counterparts, Blademasters of the 'true' Horde prefer finesse over sheer strength, some of the truly gifted have been said to be so quick and nimble it is almost as though they can not be seen by foes until they have already delivered the deathblow.

The Blademaster could possibly use energy or focus as a resource.

    The Trees:

Silent Step: A Blademaster trained in the ways of the Silent Step makes no sound as he moves, and leaves no footprint on the ground behind him, no matter the terrain. Specialising in quick, precise blows, a Silent Step Blademaster can get in amongst his enemies in the blink of an eye, unleash a flurry of blows into their midst and equally fast can retreat, leaving his foes realing. Masters of misdirection and espionage, Thrall's Silent Step Blademasters were his spymasters and when required, his assassins.

Contained Rage: A Blademaster that has mastered the way of Contained Rage has learened to not only embrace his peoples natural bloodlust, but to harness it into an instrument that reaps destruction amongst his enemies. Able to wade into the thick of any fight, a Contained Rage Blademaster is able to divert his rage, making him weather blows that would normally have felled a lesser warrior. Honing his bloodlust into his weapon of choice, the Blademasters blows leave enemies bent and broken, increasing the likelyhood that should they survive his blows, the Blademasters allies will soon make short work of them. Contained Rage Blademasters were Thrall's generals and strategists, leading his troops from the frontlines and directing them as required.

The Honorbound: Nothing is more sacred to a Blademaster than an oath of honor. An Honorbound Blademaster has sworn an oath to protect certain people, and while he is nearby these people are inspired by the Blademaster's grace and courage. Honorbound Blademasters will go to great lengths to protect their charge or charges and woe be to anyone foolish enough to try and harm him or her. Honorbound Blademasters were Thrall's trusted advisors, giving him councel and helping him lead the Horde in the right direction.

    Spec Defining Abilities:

    Silent Step:
    Pressure-point:
    Instant 50 Energy/Focus. 3 Minute Cooldown.
The Blademaster appears behind his target, and strikes, jamming his weapon into a critical nerve cluster. Pressure-point deals 125% weapon damage to target, has a 15% chance to stun them for 5 seconds, and leaves the target Off Balance. Targets that are Off Balance deal 25% less damage for the next 15 seconds.

    Contained Rage:
    Unleash:
    Instant. 3 Minute Cooldown.
The Blademaster goes batshit insane. Drains all energy/focus, and prevents it from regenerating for 10 seconds, in that time the Blademasters abilities cost no energy/focus, have no cooldown and do 5% more damage.

    Honorbound:
    Oath of Enmity:
    Instant. 3 Minute Cooldown.
Target ally gains 'Watched' for the next 25 seconds. In that time, if target ally takes damage, the Blademaster gains 150% movement speed increase for 3 seconds as well as a 15% damage boost for 7 seconds. While this effect is up, all ability cooldowns are halved.

Thats all for now, will update the others when I'm not doing accounting homework. Also, BY YOUR POWERS COMBINED!

i don't like your ideas for the prestige classes, but i do like the idea of each race having a unique class. A class that's been in lore (like demon hunters for night elves would make sense) or maybe a class we haven't have had much contact with yet but makes sense (blood mages for Belves for example, since well be seeing some blood mage npc's in cata)

we can always hope but it's either not gonna happen for a long time or just plain not gonna happen at all

LFM Pro Raiding Guild. Primalist's only, because otherwise you made a stupid race/class combo.

Adding a superversion of a class based on race just removes diversity from the game.

Im confused, you want 12 new 'classes' ???

Did some editing. I could feel the title changes per race! I left the forsaken's mages and warlocks as mages and warlocks.. because undead don't give a shit what you think about them. They don't have anything to hide, especially when it comes to being a warlock (which in almost all races is a huge effing no-no)

It's Penguin Heaven, Dave. It's anywhere you want it to be.

To be clear, I'm under no illusion that the Blizzard is going to read this post and implement anything I'm writing down, just doing it to kill some time.
