I unplugged my system fan and unscrew it to clean it. Then screwed it back in place and now it doesnt work anymore. Its a 3pin and no pins seem bent/broken.
When i boot it says "System fan has failed. service your pc to prevent further damage. Press F2 to continue"

You plugged it wrong way around? Or into wrong fan connector? There are usually many fan connectors in motherboards.
Never going to log into this garbage forum again as long as calling obvious troll obvious troll is the easiest way to get banned.

Nope its the only connecter in the board. Its always been there and its the right way round. (Old pentium 4 board)

Do you have a Dust filter on it? one of my fans didnt turn around because one of the fins was getting stopped by the dust filter. just turned the filted around and it worked

my fan seems to spin just fine when i spin it with my finger..
edit. AHH finally. Got it to work.. seems like i was only connecting 2 pins of 3 >_<Last edited by mmoc08e0cbb1c7; 2010-08-29 at 01:43 PM.
