Fun fact: The Troll dance is based on a brazilian martial art called capoeira. When you first see it, it looks like a harmless dance, but when applied in combat it can be quite devastating. A dancing troll is only a few seconds from planting his right foot in your face.

The male troll dance is similar to capoeira, right?
I'm pretty sure capoeira is a martial art disguised as a dance... (Invented by African slaves in Brazil I think...)
So maybe the gnomes, smart as they are, thought hmmm lets kill the guy he's faking a dance to practice martial arts...
