I have a lone alt on a server I no longer play. He happens to be a transmute master so Ive been logging on every day, doing my epic transmute and selling the gems. Which has resulted in several thousand gold im never going to use.

How should I give it away?

You should open trade with low level people, put all the gold in there and hit trade. Leave it up for exactly 2 seconds and then close it. Whoever is quick enough gets it...maybe 1 second.

Transfer the alt to your server and use it for your main.

Buy a motorcycle and give it to some low level character... that's what friend of mine did, he offered the motorcycle to a few people. Funny thing was a lot of people wouldn't accept the thing when he offered... the 5th or 6th person was the one to readily accept it. Was a level 12 character, couldn't even ride the thing yet

The character is my only horde character. Money transfer is not happening.

And id like to think of a funny way to give it away.

Ive thought of one thing so far. Having everyone who want it to stay on a zepplin and the last person left without going afk or d/cing wins.

How about you keep it in case you ever want to play on that realm again. Giving it away doesn't help you unless you get that fuzzy feeling from giving gold to someone who either doesn't need it or will have quit within the month.

Yeah same happend to me, I was spamming confirmed traid (about 500-1000g) on people around me (mostly 80s) and only a very few people actually accepted the trade .I think its funny how people reacts and act like careful and all

Edit: But u should just transfer that char to your main realm.. (If its a lot of gold we are talking about)

Had to ban him to get rid of it. It's essentially trolling anyway.. or worse considering how it may effect some people. I know I feel slightly nauseous from looking at it.

Firefox is great, it allows me to block any image I want, those images Negridoom spams for instance. You should give it a try.

For some reason it really makes me mad when I try and give stuff away and people close trade ...like the other day this guy had no epic gems in his gem slots on his emblem gear and so I had a few that I could give away and so I open trade and put them in and click trade and he closes trade and then puts me on ignore ....>.< !!!!!!!

I'd say pay a good guild to get a free ride to kill Lich King or so if you haven't killed him yet.


Otherwise I'd do the same as has been said: buy expensive stuff (chopper or ICC epics) and give them to players. Especially the epics might help players who will actually use them.

In order to get them to accept it, just say you'll sell it for a rather small amount for whoever can use it. When they accept and trade you, first inspect to see if they'll use it or if they have better. If they'll use it, just trade it to them without charging :-).
