    That meme only happened twice. Kael'thas and Kel'thuzad. Also Hogger... but only as a joke.
    Onyxia had no set back. Lore wise she was killed by wyrnn and her dungeon was merely tuned up to 80.
    Nefarion and Onyxia did DIE, in cataclysm they are ressurected to serve deathwing.
    Say any other character who died then came back because they "survived" and I will do my best to show how they were indeed not "set-back".

    Blizzard did not intend for it to look like he had died, they stated that they regretted that they may have. Apparently he was healed by Vashj and Kael etc etc. Hey, if we can get healed up why can't lore characters :P

    You really don't.

    The meme isn't that characters come back from the dead. That's a trope.

    A meme is when people like us MMO Champions use "______ was JUST A SETBACK" here on the forum, as a kind of inside joke that's gone viral.

    I cannot believe I had to explain that. Next time I'll just link you to Encyclopedia Dramatica.
