More or less the same, nothing special to be brutally honest. Some fun talents aren't really shown though.

Not sure how scaling works but at 85 with 52k mana i can't cast as much shit as you do in your vid with 20k mana as arcane....LoL If i stack 4 AB and use AM i'm OOM in 3-4 mobs and have to drink for 25 seconds to get 52k mana back and low mana DPS is not very good.

But arcane or frost are IMO the only viable specs to level in Uldum and even more so in twilight highlands because you really need either the slow from frostbolt or arcane, if mobs get to you they can get you down in 3-4 seconds because they literally hit like trucks at the moment.

Finnaly, we get what we ask for!

They've released a Glyph that allows you Images to cast whatever main nuke your spec uses.

AB for Arcane Mages, Fireball for Fire Mages and still Frostbolt for Frost Mages.

Thanks for the vids. I think I'm still going to stick with Fire in Cata. Arcane looks kinda bland. But Frost looks like a crazy proc'er.
Is frost on par with the other specs? Or does it still hit like a chump.

I'm only level 81 at the moment, but it is by far (I mean by far, by far) the hardest hitter and easiest for levelling.

I was literally one-shotting quest mobs in Hyjal. 7-8k Ice Lances with hardly any Mastery on me? I can only wonder...

I'll do a proper analysis with glyphs, all three decent theorycrafted specs when I reach 85.

Hehe fire will be the spec that gets some mages kicked out of raids "oops sorry i wiped the raid by breaking all the CC but i had an impact proc"...lol. That is of course if they bring back trash CC as they said they would. It would def. be awesome to have on live right now with the nothing but AOE'ing that goes on.

How is the explosion of Fire Orb looking, is it worth putting in a rotation? I remember Blizzard saying it would be worth it for single target DPS but was pretty sceptical. Also I reckon everyone will very much enjoy seeing the Polymorph: monkey glyph in action

The damage, as you can see, is pretty mediocre. Though beta is beta and I'm sure it will be looked at, the explosion at the end is for Fire Mages only, acts quite like Living Bomb.

In the Frost tree there is a talent to make Flame Orb a 'Frostfire Orb' and thus snare your opponents (40% less movement speed).

My next video will show what it is like whilst aoeing traditionally. I like the idea of 'Fire and Forget' and it could be useful for breaking stealth but it does need a heavy damage buff.
