New Website Design - Feedback

I really like it, it looks great! Polished, new looking etc. THUMBS UP!!
But I hope you can find a place for that dude/chick on the top of the site next to the logo, he/she is awesome

I love it, however, there are a few things that make me 'huh!?'

First off, it feels a bit crowded on the top, with the forums AND blue posts, with the two ads. Perhaps make the blue tracker something on the bottom, or side bar, like a live stream? (Or banish the ads to the bottom of the page. Which I know isn't cleaned very often)

Also, there is room for one more tab on the top, perhaps add an extra expansion/patch tab to fill the gap?

Kidding aside, i love the new bar at the top. Alot.
It will take me some time to adapt to the Dark Green / Black scheme comapred to the current Ultra-pale green, Light Green, Green Stripes scheme.

I like new build its more upto date but it miss some nice features like Recent Articles and have blue tracker instead.

I'm not sure I like the new darker green look on the side borders. The MMO Champion of my memory is what we have now which is a bit lime-ish. It's just my aesthetic preference anyway. May the dark green borders on the side can be a little less not so dark green? And the patterns on the dark green surface could be brightened up a little. It's hardly noticeable.

Other than that I love the layout. Its clean and simple. It WORKS!

I do think though that a better toolbox for the Go Advanced option would be better. Similarly, the edit toolbox needs to be spruced up IMO.(there actually no toolbox :P)

What I don't like is the Search Bar. I know it's lined out with the MMO characters but it's in the middle. Id line it out on the lower line of the full MMO logo, next to the Login Panel. Or, I'd put it in the navigation bar.

Also, I don't like the lost space created by the 728x90 ad. Can't you sell ads wide enough so they cover the whole width of the site? Now it's lost space and it just takes away the balance of it. Perhaps move it to the left or right and then add another button (perhaps someone's column?) on the other side of it so the space is filled.

I really like the slick and clean look of it though. Simplicity is achieved only by good designers ;-)

On the bright side, I love how you are choosing more sophisticated colors, instead of these godawful pastel colors. Perhaps use a new color scheme for the flare boxes/buttons like red, yellow, or even gold highlights. (All of the colors as highlights, nothing as a primary)

I like it, I'm glad the side bars are gone. I think the background is a bit too dark green, and somehow the squaredness of the new website reminds me of worldofraids, in a bad way.

I hope the header is still under construction, because that grainy white radial gradient looks pretty sucky.

The rest is looking really good though!

I like it very much; I agree it's nice and sleek. I'm glad they've stayed with the same basic colour scheme as the current site. I'm also very glad to see the MMO Champion guy gone, I think he's ugly and outdated. >.>

I know a lot of people seem to like the sidebars, but they are clunky and would completely break the new design. As someone studying web design, I like the shift away from the sidebars to the drop down. Much more modern.

I also like the new mosaic pattern choice for the background but I'm a big fan of the diagonal stripe tiling, so on the fence about that one.

Overall, very sexy looking!

I don't like that background very much... Got kinda used to the current one. Also the color scheme is a bit darker than I'm used to. Sure, the background doesn't draw that much attention from the content but the colors were alway brighter

Anyway, here is my suggestion... To keep some "classic" stuff

Looks great to me. I like how it stays relatively true to the way mmo-champ is now while toning down that green background.

I always felt like that shit was too bright.

Maybe you could put the news headlines in another drop down menu if there is room? I don't use it much tbh but maybe it would be handy for anyone that doesn't check in every day (I know a few of my guild only come here occasionally, and only cos I log on and go omg have you seen mmo today???!!!)

I like the idea, but the site looks, and feels more professional with the sophisticated colors. The pastel colors are also bothersome. ((Ok, I am looping myself now))
