Copying WoW folder vs. Clean WoW install?

I got a new system drive today, it's a WD Raptor 10000 rpm, so I'd like to put my WoW folder onto that drive to optimize load times and such. Would there be ANY difference to copy/pasting it from my slave drive with doing a clean install of it?

I just don't want glitches and I want it running silky smooth.

If the game works now, copying will save you from several hours of installing bullshit.

Well I haven't copied it yet. I've done it before, but I wanted to know if there is a performance drop or anything. I think it did for me but it may have been my old computer..

There is no performance drop of any kind coming from copying the files over from one HDD to another. Unless ofcourse you copy between completely different computers, and then you need to delete config.wtf and let it detect your hardware again.

copy the whole wow folder,
save your macro etc

delete your /wtf folder,

you will just have to copy/paste your macro and redo the binds

and updates downloaded are usually saved in the /wow directory if you need them

Will this delete my UI settings if I delete my WTF folder?

Yes.

Do not delete WTF folder, only config.wtf inside it.

On your first time running WoW, make sure you go through the launcher (Launcher.exe) rather than direct to WoW (WoW.exe). Launcher.exe will reset all of the necessary registry keys.
