Exorcism for Prot?

I finally took Exo out of my spellbook and made a place for it on my bars, but when can I use it?

At range, ofc.
When i'm pulling I usually just taunt instead of pulling the boss further towards me.
Should I use it instead of Holy Shield when i'm not tanking physical hits? It looks like weapon swing + blood corruption proc is better dps, but then again exo is 100% holy, but only crits for 150%.

Never use Exorcism as Prot unless:

The mob is unreachable for a certain amount of time (see: Rimefang in ICC)
It is used on the pull (i.e. AW + Exo + Taunt, followed by AS)

Casting spells drops your avoidance down to 0.

What about when I have nothing to avoid, but i'm in melee range? Its either exo or do nothing, but gain a melee swing.

As in off tanking?
Casting spells resets your swing timer as well- The white damage and seal damage will be more than that of Exorcism, and the TPS difference is negligible.

Right, definitely. Righteous Fury affects all damage now, so I'd say Exorcism is probably LESS threat anyway.
