DPS in raid

Guys yesterday my friend told me if you are top DPS your DPS performance in raid decreases if your raid is lack or sucks doing DPS. Is that true?

yes and no, yes because higher uptime of bloodlust
no because of cds
depends
lets say you have a 2min cooldown that lasts 20 seconds and makes you do big dips
1:59 fight you lose dps, 2:20 you do max potential dps


but yes for instance you should do more dps on a 2min saurfang than a 4min saurfang
