I wish they'd also remove shadow embrace. It's annoying talent that just makes affliction's long ramp-up time worse (and it's not even transferred to new target when you soul swap).

So basically destro locks will have more healing then aff locks.. soul leech even restores your mana. this is just ridiculous. Drain life heals just as much for destro as it does for affli, and it only does 25% more dmg for affli. And then we have Siphon life... 50% chance for a 2% heal lmao. and they couldnt even make it a 100% chance for a 1% heal? Soul leech is BY FAR better then siphon life and haunt combined.

Why the hell do they give every damn class and spec in the game self healing witch is supposed to be affliction's unique thing. not only that, but they're even nerfing aff lock heals to the same level as everyone else. destro even got MORE self healing then affli. Cata looks total shit atm. not buying it.

You do realize that one is based off an attack you only use once every 12s and the other one procs off an attack that is going to be going off every 2s or so depending on haste.

Chaos Bolt and soul fire(via burning embers) So we'll say 2 hits in 12 seconds(inital chaos and a soul fire.) That gives a total of 20% health and mana back Even without the soulfire it gives far more than siphon life and Haunt would give.

Looks like they're intent on forcing aff to use drain life, even if we don't want to.

I don't like playing the beta card, but all this is still something they're in the process of tuning. Also, Affliction has other means of healing themselves other than Siphon Life where as Destro relies solely on Soul Leach for all of their heals.

I wouldn't be surprised if they retuned Haunt to be a % based heal like they're doing with every other Lock heal. Making Haunt return 5% of your HP is not far fetched.
