Hi, I'm in need of some clarification on my Cata beta status...
Everything I've read says "WOW1" as an account name is the Cata Beta. So, when I logged into B Net and saw that, I was really happy.
My License List for World of Warcraft reads:
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
(CENSORED)
Americas & Oceania (US)
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
(CENSORED)
Americas & Oceania (US)
World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King
(WOW1)
Public Test Realm (PTR)
The thing that confuses me is that the third license says WotLK, not Cataclysm. So, I click on that link, click on "PTR Character Copy" and it brings me to the Cata Beta character transfer page, which asks me to choose a license to copy from. I try one (that has time on it), and it says "Access Denied". So I try the other one (that doesn't have time on it) and it also says "Access Denied."
Several friends I've asked do not have such a license, and I figure everyone would if it was just the 4.0.1 PTR. Also the fact that it says Cataclysm Beta on the transfer page. So I'm wondering if I have beta access or not. My only thought is that I'm not allowed to transfer from my license with no time on it. Would I be able to if I put time on it? Because I sure as heck would put time on it to play the beta, haha.
Sorry for the info that's probably poorly written, I'll clarify if anything needs clarifying. What do I do?

WOW1 is whatever got there first. In your case, WOW1 is the PTR, not the beta.

The WOW1, WOW2, etc thing isn't exclusive to the cataclysm beta. Everytime you create a new account from now on (correct me if I'm wrong, someone) it just automatically gives it a name like WOW1 since you do not have to login with that account name, but instead you login with your battle.net account.

The Cataclysm beta now says, World of Warcraft: Cataclysm Beta on it if you're in. So unless you see that, then no, you do not have access to beta.

It directs you to beta copy because ptr also uses 4.0, which basicly is cataclysm, just without the cataclysm. Btw, do you play in China, cause everything is cencored? =P
