Quick patch question.

So I started launcher like always and got an update of 10mb. I said oh well... no problems with it. After I logged off WoW update started to patch 4.0.0. My question is did anyone else encounter this ? The reason I ask this is because a guildmate of mine actually let it update to 4.0.0 few days ago and he had to rollback the update because he couldn't log to wow anymore.

LE: Finished downloading all 4.45gb and after that it just closed. So i guess it's good to have it downloaded and just install it in the day it goes live or something.

Same here, no idea what it did thou.

It was a patch to the background downloader and other tools to help address issues some were experiencing in getting the larger 4.0.0 pre-download. (Source)
