Dropping BS for Engineering - Need Help!

Okay, so as the title says, I play a Ret Paladin and I decided to switch out BS for Engineering. The problem is I wasn't proactive about changing my gems up, and ended up leaving a Unique JC gem in the BS prismatic slot of my gloves.

I'm not given the option to overwrite it with a 20+ str gem so I can allocate the stats somewhere else. When I try to, it says I already have used my 3 unique JC Dragon Eyes. I'm also being told once you drop BS the gems stay but the prismatic socket bonuses no longer work.

How am I able to move this? I raid tomorrow and I'm total OCD about this. 14 str is 14 str, but is there a way to fix this?

Really don't know what to tell you. Take the gloves off, vendor them, and buy them back? I really don't know. Contact a GM if anything.

A GM should be able to remove it for you. Might not happen before your raid, but they'll fix it.
