    DBW in patch 4.0.1?

    So... i wondered witch trinkets that would be good in next patch, well here is my results :P I did it in notepad + windows calc :P EP points is the same as Value points, but it's most known as EP (dont ask me what it stands for :P ).

    Ohhh and i use my stats values, you can see your own values if you DL rawr

    Code:
        ~~stats~~   |      ~~EP~~
        1 expertise   |   2.74
        1 strength   |   2.56
        1 haste      |   1.95
        1 crit      |   1.81
        1 agi      |   1.70
        1 arp      |   1.11
        1 ap      |   1.01
        1 sp      |   0.28
        1 int      |   0.02
    Code:
        Death's Verdict (HC);
            288(AP)*1.01(EP) = 290.88 EP
        +   391*(AP)1.01(EP) = 394.91 EP

    Ok, we now know how good each of the proccs are. But how good is really the trinket? I mean, for now you've just seen "three diferent trinkets". So i want you to see how good it is as one. This is simple, look;

    Code:
        The real value of DBW (HC) (patch 4.0.1)
            766.87
        +   692.27
            664.27
        =   2123.41

        2123.41 / 3 = 707.803xxx
        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    Code:
        The real Value of DBW (HC) (WoTLK stats)
            659.99
        +   583.39
            557.39
        =   1800.77
        1800.77 / 3 = 600.256xxx
        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    What i now wonder about is, will it still be this better in the next patch? Thinking of the stats changing a bit, with scaleing i mean.

    Yes i'll apriciate all kinds of feed backs And i just gota add a little thanks to Nzall for editing me one (maybe more?) time(s) when i did some (bad)math in an earlier post.

    now do the same math for STS. you will notice that it vastly beats any other stat proc trinket.

    and i have remarks about your math and the theory in general:

    you are calculating the EP that STR has by calculating the value of the AP it gives. STR has its own weight, so you can use that weight.

    secondly, you multiply your STR with the bonus you get from divine strength, but as far as i know, that bonus is already included into the stat weights. if you were to talent out of that, you would see the stat weight change, i think.

    thirdly, doing math for 4.0.1 with current stat weights is pointless. it's extremely unlikely to the point of impossibility that the stat weights you use in 3.3.5 are the same as those in 4.0.1.

    finally, stat weights inherently are flawed, since those scale with themselves and the other stats. for example, the only damage that currently scales with haste for ret is your melee swing and the attached seal damage. however, this scales in stages: you only get a damage increase when you get an extra attack. this means that for certain fight lengths, haste has a higher stat weight than for other lengths. DW classes scale better, 2H classes scale worse. casters scale the best. i know that EJ recommends to use a 60 minute length to smooth out variations, but there is no fight that lasts that long. for example, festergut enrages after 5 minutes and is usually killed in 3. minor variations in length (especially minor variations), on the step of 3 seconds or some other number close to your swing timer, can largerly affect your DPS, due to the extra attack and changed buff uptimes.

    I'm taking a Heroic DBW as soon as I can. the 700 haste proc on that will be absurdly good.

    Abit late this is, but here it goes. (been abit busy lately)

    Code:

    There you go you should be able to do the math for the real values of DBW normal, by the earlier numbers.
