So I just got invited to the beta and it seems kind of odd that it is so late... The email does look legit. Anyone know why I got the invitation so late?

I have gotten betas just days before release. However, you should check your battle.net account and see if cataclysm is there before you click on anything in the mail.

Just check your battle.net account. Thats the only actually legit way to know if it's true.

Just checked my battle.net account and it is legit! wow! Im so happy right now. I just find it hard to believe they are still inviting people, i had pretty much given up hope for this to happen.

they maybe needed a few more, so they just gave some so they could try it.
