I really would like to make my FPS better overall if its BGs, Arena, Raids whatever (mainly PvP stuff) cause currently im on average 12-17 FPS in BGs, Arena and then i see my brothers comp with 60 FPS and i get so mad!(yes im a noob when it comes to doing this sort of stuff)

    Thanks, Shamanwiz!

Your brothers computer is obviously better. Do you know your specs? Press the Winows key + R and then type in Dxdiag. post what it says there.

Something easy you could try would be to reduce the number of active applications running in the background. I'm assuming you're running a windows distro. Go look in your system tray ( lower right corner ) and disable all the crap you have there. Then if you really wanna get crazy ( warning you can f things up doing this) go start, run msconfig, and go to processes like startup process and kill off all of the updaters another things, ESP those from apple adobe and java. That will up overall performance. Keep us posted!

Do you have shadows completely off? Completely off is not the same as the shadow detail turned all the way down. Type this in game.

    /console shadowlod 0

Helps a lot I have heard. It will turn the little blob shadows off under people (when shadow quality is lowest). If that doesn't work try...

    /console extShadowQuality 0

I have seen people's FPS go up 5-20 FPS doing this. Moving the shadow detail slider in video options at all will reverse these settings.

Also try lowering your sound quality, sound channels, and turn off Death Knight voices if you have it on.

I would also recommend looking at an addon called Tweak WoW with your brothers supervision because some settings can mess things up, but they are all reversible anyway. TweakWoW does prettying much everything that the low FPS thread talks about in GUI form for easy use and reversal.

It is a perfect information that clears all my doubts and gives a clear idea regarding that. It is really advantageous for me.I would definably take the benefit of it.

Just going by how little you appear to know about computers and the inevitable answer that everyone who knows as little about as you always eventually get - you need a new computer.

BTW that is a summary of over 9000 threads in this forum.

Video is a Palit GTS450. Main display is a 24" full HD TV. Secondary display is an ACER 19" lcd at 1440x900.
