I tried getting to the alliance gunship from the top of the spire in dalaran but my slowfalls ran out (not a mage/priest) I used the rocketboots from engineering (300% speed i believe) engineering cloak, slowfall trinket noggenfogger and the skyguard cloak.

hmmm ok i suggest anyone that can do slow fall and rocket boots that kinda stuff go somewhere very high up near mount hyjal location and try gettin in? they did say people could find a way in im not suggesting this its just a "hey what if someone did this" kinda thing.
