How does DMC:Hurricane compare to the rest of the available trinkets for ret? 321 STR, 5K nature damage proc. 83-111 DPS proc, assuming 45-60s ICD.

Probably going to be one of the best until the raids are itemized.

Still feels that melee department got shafted compared to the casters trinket. The extra damage on caster trinket is kinda meeh (maybe fire mages & destruction warlocks buff that dmg with their talents ), but the 984 spell damage sounds good from any point of view. But yea, like Revolutions said, it might be the BiS trinket before Cata raids.

iirc, TAJ wont be able to proc at level 85 so you would only get the hit.

From what i've read Tiny Abomination in a Jar past level 80 is a pile of poopy.

You gotta rememeber that the caster trinket has no int on it what so ever, so its only fair they get an SP proc. It really does depend on how often it proc's but compaired to the str/agi trinkets I'd rather have that flat out attack power increase rather than having it proc like the caster trinket, but thats just my preference.
Damage trinkets like that don't ussually have a ICD only trinkets with a buff have the ICD so it's not up constantly
I'd assume it'll have a low proc chance but not a ICD
Like Jesmam said, melee really seem to have gotten the short end of the stick this time. Although following the greatness of the Greatness card (hehehe hurr durr) maybe its the casters turn to have their good Darkmoon card trinket.

Would be nice if the agi and strength didnt share a cooldown on the proc :P
But it would be massivly OP then I guess...
I do belive in fairytales...I really do!
So casters are better off because they have a chance to gain 900ish SP for a short period, while agi/str classes get constant 642 AP from their trinkets. Seriously? Rather some melee classes (paladins and shamans) might as well take the agi/str one + the SP one because of the haste on it. Especially if other competitive trinkets are rare like in wotlk. I doubt it, but who knows how loot tables turn out.

While I hink we'd all rathr have an ap proc, I'm junking they did that so t isn't a top ten trinket all expantion. Oh well, make the money on them early, later it won't hold water.
Pondering returning.

http://db.mmo-champion.com/i/58180/license-to-slay/ we already know one of our first tier raiding trinkets. If DMC Hurricane is similar to byrntroll, Chaos bane, motes, and has no icd it will stay for quite some time.\
Edit: not banned anymore!
