you dont download anything from a CD it's just the cata files on it. which you should've already downloaded the month before it's out. as blizz has always done.

so you just go to battle.net > add CD key insert it and good to go.

Ah, fair enough. Now that you say that.. I recall that was indeed the same with TBC.. didn't need the CD's, all the files were already pre-patched and the boat to the Draeneis etc was available..

I assume not, WotLK has the entire game up to 3.0.1 available on its disk..
Actually, that makes me wonder something, do people who play Vanilla only and have no TBC and WotLK attacched to their account receive patches such as 3.3 and the like?

I didn't. I'm going to buy it from the Blizzard store and download it within a few days of release. No need for extra paraphernalia to clutter up our house.

Yes, those patches implement things like class chances, which are needed by everyone.

We all play the same game, some people just have a bit more to explore.
