IMO bioware creates better games then blizzard however we won't have anything to measure against WoW unless The Old Republic can solidify a following for a couple years to polish itself up to the level Blizzard has gotten to do with WoW.

Bioware are owned by EA.
Blizzards owners are partners with Activision.

Activision and EA openly despise eachother, so I doubt that there's any chance of a merger between Bioware and Blizzard anytime soon.
