Is 4.0.1 still this week?

Is 4.0.1 still this week in anyones opinion? It just dosent seem like PTR is ready but mabey thats just me.


Note: Im sure there is a lot of threads on 4.0.1 being released but yeah i wanted to know if you think its comming out soon in its current state.

Blizzard said before that they wouldn't spend too much time balancing classes, don't expect it to be perfect. 4.0.1 isn't exactly a full patch, it's a transition stage between WotLK and Cataclysm.

Also, about 4.0.1 expect roughly 3 people in trade chat per minute asking where the azeroth flying trainer is. That is all.

People often look at the PTR and say, "It isn't perfect yet, so I don't think they're ready to launch the patch." PTRs are never perfect. Once they have enough testing to know what the problems are, they can fix those internally and go live without ever pushing them on a PTR build. So you'll see problems, sometimes significant looking, on the PTR the day before a patch comes out. That's working as intended.

Yeah, Tuesday the 12th seems fairly likely.

monday the 11th. Arena goes on. Servers shutting down at night. Season ends patch comes out the next day

i doubt it'll be a full day. 4.0.1 will change the launcher so you'll be able to download roughly 20% of the patch before you can play

You might want to note that the season ends on different dates in the EU and the US (12th in the US and the 13th in EU).
