The water looks amazing but...

I thought that I was supposed to see my characters reflection in the water ?

Yes I running WoW with DX11 enabled and I have a Video Card and OS that supports it.

Any thoughts ? Any of you seeing your characters reflection?

it doesnt show my relfections on the beta, just asume it never will ( same for spell reflects )

I have seen some screenshots of it reflecting characters as well, but that was a while back. Was kinda hoping they'd bring it back.

I hope they've just removed it temporarily for optimization or something.

tbh now they updated water anything else looks crap now.
especialy foliage looking like paper and as far if seen cataclysm vids this has't changed at all.

You could'nt be farther from the truth my friend Foliage got a major improvement in Cataclysm in several key areas such as;

A: fiolage now moves in the wind
B: There's more of it and it reaches farther then before ( depending on video settings )
C: the foliage itself is redone, instead of cardboard pieces it now looks liek actualy flowers and grass.

Been in the Beta since August, and I swear to everything that is Holy, foliage looks great and matches the new water perfectly.

Well im not talking about the trees am I, Lost isles did a great job on the tree canopy, but yeah, when travelling through ashenvale, i recommend flying LOW, flying over makes you question the year youre living in ( 2005 obviously :P )

The water looks like absolute crap to me because I can only put my settings up to 'fair'. I've run my settings near high for two years and now Blizz says I can't do that? /grumble.

The new water looks awesome, but it looks a little strange in lakes and rivers.

I would like to know what setting I've got wrong in either the NVidia control panel or WoW itself. I think it looks gorgeous, I can certainly see some very nice rippling, but it's hard to make out because the reflections are just ridiculous.

Updated on the reflection issues.

Turn off your viewport, or any addon that integrates one.

ah ty, i was gonna say, I didn't see it on the PTR (but i only copied like 5 addons to the PTR)
