The Semi-Official "I was this close to 310% Mount" Thread

Do you realize how pretentious you sound? Some of us are stuck on our servers or stay for our FRIENDS. No pug on my server goes past 6/12 and thats with only two hardmodes. Some guilds are STILL working on LK on backwater servers. Not everyone has 20-50k gold to splash down for a top guild to drag them through ICC for achievements. Just because something was easy for you, doesn't mean it is easy for all.

Arrogance is proportional to excellence. You don't have to stay stuck on a backwater server. You don't have to stay stuck in a bad guild who can't exceed more than 6 ICC bosses. You can CHANGE servers, and factions, and guilds. The great thing is that you can always go back to the server/faction to play with your friends.

If you're only playing WoW for the socialising and not the raiding then that's your own concern and you probably aren't out pining for the rare mounts or end-game content. Which is fine, not everyone plays WoW to the same extent. But making up excuses and saying you wanted this mount but after 2 years you never got it and it's just NOT FAIR blizz is making people pay 5k for 310% (for those who don't want to do the world events), well, sorry, that's ridiculous and it is your fault. You have options. It's silly not to use them.

Also, that post was directed to the one being quoted - he's been on about trying for a mount in pugs because his guilds tanks and healers keep leaving, but never succeeds and kept making excuses as to why, when he's joined three "bad" servers even though there are SO many ways to check out server rankings before jumping ship. It's kind of amazing, before you switch to a server, you can look at the top guilds on those servers, apply, and if accepted, switch. Personally, I don't like it when people put the blame on healers and tanks because DPS also has to pay attention and do their job. I especially don't like hearing one poor excuse after another why your goals have failed. My friends and I were in a crap guild, so my friends and I found a new one, and it's been working out fine for us. We like to raid, we want to raid, so we did what we could so we could raid.
