Is reforged Rowan's now better than the Bone bow for BM?

Rowan's - that notorious tanking gun - got a big boost to its dps in patch 4.01. My question is, if you reforge the defence stats, is it better than the Bone Bow even for a non-dwarf?

I wouldn't go buy one if you don't have one. It looks like for some reason ALL guns and xbows have a wrong dps listed. Ghostcrawler posted in the damage dealing forums on the official forums about it.

Even now with buged dps, which will be fixed soon (I hope) now weapon speed are much more valuable then before 4.01.
Weapon damage in yellow damaging shot formulas is taken directly from charecter pane (literaly) without speed noramaliztion. Maybe bug, but who knows when they fix it.

On my hunter (Bad geared yes) im doing 200 DPS more with Rowan than my BoA Bow at around 5k DPS on dummy.

is rowan DPS is only slightly higher (because 200/5000 = 4%), then bone bow should be A LOT MORE than rowan (or is the heirloom bow just so OP?)

If you are talking about normal (251) Njorndar Bone Bow, then yes.

Rowan's was better than any 251 gun for any "normal" setup even before 4.0.1 . if it gof buffed in the patch (and bone bow didn't) then there is absolutely no question about it, higher ilvl dps is worth more than the very few lost ability points off a properly itemized lower ilvl gun/bow.

I wouldn't buy one now, unless you get a very good deal and really need to push your dps though - but if you already have one, use it over the ilvl 251 ranged weapons.

It didn't get buffed, there's a bug with xbows and guns in this patch. It'll be lowered to the correct damage soon.

Good to know, it should still be better than any ilvl 251 ranged even when fixed.
