Background Information:
Axiom is a guild whose leaders have an extensive amount of raiding experience dating back to The Burning Crusade. All of us have been raiding together since Icecrown Citadel where we tackled Arthas and a majority of the hardmodes without too much difficulty. However, with Cataclysm on the horizon, several of us craved for a change and left our previous server for Gilneas.
Cataclysm Goals:
Currently, our goal for the rest of this expansion is to rebuild our roster and finish H-LK 10-man. In regards to Cataclysm, our goal is simple: Obtain and maintain a top 300 US ranking on 12 hours of raiding per week, and enjoy ourselves during every moment of it. Unlike most guilds, we are still looking to raid 25-mans because that’s what we find most enjoyable.
Performance:
You should be able to perform to the requirements of the encounter and maximize your potential. Death to a lack of situational or encounter awareness is not wanted. We're looking for players who are willing to give their best 110% effort on every encounter, even when being faced with countless wipes.
Knowledge:
You should know your class and mechanics inside and out. We aren't looking for people who only research their class when a major content patch hits. We enjoy partaking in theorycrafting and game mechanic discussions and we're looking for like-minded individuals who enjoy doing the same. In short, we want people who have Elitist Jerks as one of their top three most browsed websites.
Attendance:
Attendance is a key essential for success in any guild. All of us have families and lives outside of the game and understand that when the occasion rises, your obligation is elsewhere other than the game. While we don't have a mandatory attendance requirement, please don't apply if you can't make our raid times.
Preparation:
Players should be ready to go and outside the instance by 8 PM ST. Come prepared with flasks, potions, food buffs and any class specific reagents, and when the guild bank permits we will supply some of these materials for you. Also note that minor things that would normally not be thought of, such as Flame Cap for a Fire Mage/Demonology or Destruction Warlock will be noted.
Personality & Attitude:
We look for players who have a very thick skin and can take constructive criticism, learn from it, and better themselves as a player because of it. How you mesh in with the guild will be a key part of your trial period. While we all have a sense of humor and love discussing random topics during farm content, we also know when to put that serious face on in order to down a progression encounter.
Application Process:
This is often an overlooked part of the application process, so I figured I'd list it here. Our officers spend just as much time reviewing your application as you spent writing it, so please impress us by spending a good amount of time to make it look neat, organized and informative. Applications with no effort put into them will more than likely get tossed out.
