I want to RP a worgen, but can i yet?

So here is my problem i really have a hunger to RP a Worgen, but there are problems, worgen aren't officially nice and with the alliance yet. Also RP stories are set in pre cataclysmic times. Although i do have a way around this in my own story but i fear becoming a marry sue character, not because of a certain "power" but more because it might seem a worgen teen "a captured child, tested on by Argul" now escaped, and working neutrally until the cataclysm hits is a little cheesy.

What are your thoughts?

:Also i would Rp a goblin but i have written countless stories but i couldn't get into it as much as a worgen character.

You can use the concept used by Worgen Death Knights where they have to kill the person of thir own kin. That explains how they passed the wall and how they are Worgen today. Outside of the wall before the Cataclysm. You'll find the transcript after a little bit of digging.

I've already begun creating my pre-Cataclysm Worgen.
