It is our strong belief that if you're not having fun raiding then you're not raiding with the right people. That said, the number one goal and priority of Deviant is to have a fun and enjoyable raiding environment. This is very closely followed by a strong drive for end game progression. Most people don't find raiding with lazy and undriven players to be fun no matter how enjoyable the people are, which is where our performance standards will set us apart. The balance between fun and competitive progression is often what guilds lack and
Deviant seeks to be different from the norm by creating a niche environment where fun and progression go hand in hand.
It's true that the definition of fun raiding is relative and varies from person to person. Our goal is to bring like-minded people together that all enjoy the environment we create. If you prefer your guilds to have a militaristic style then perhaps Deviant is not for you. If you believe that guilds should be able to be silly when it's appropriate, have lasting friendships, strong camaraderie, and yet strict leadership and actions when things need to be done then you should fit in well with Deviant. Our leaders have participated in the top kills of many bosses over the past expansions including top 100US Heroic Lich King 25. The same quality of play required for those fights is what we look for and expect for those that want to push forward with us into Cata. Right now we are building in preparation for Cata and forging ahead full speed in the competition for server firsts.
We are currently open to recruiting a select few more highly skilled and aware players for raiding in the upcoming expansion.
We have a healthy roster for our main raid team and are only interested in a couple of excellent players to improve upon an already great team. we're also looking for all raiders to be able to raid efficiently in at least two specs for flexible raid comp adjustments.
Currently we have a need for:
1 Ranged DPS- Lock, Ele Shaman, or Hunter.

The basic info:
**Deviant uses a loot council system for distributing loot in order to make sure it gets put to use in a way that will maximize raid performance.
**Our progression raid schedule is: Tues/Wed/Thurs/Sun from 7PM-10PM CST. This is the maximum amount of time we plan to schedule for progression raids and days/times may be cut down depending on Cata raid requirements.
Some things Deviant has to offer: * A serious raiding guild with a strong drive to progress, while still maintaining a fun environment where guild members are friends. * Strong experienced leadership that cares about the guild and individual members, your opinions, ideas, suggestions, etc aren't ignored! * Thorough application process, meaning we don't invite anyone that doesn't pull their own weight! Everyone has a say in potential apps, we want people we can rely on and get along with! * A very light 4 day, 12 hour/week raid schedule, plus optional casual/alt raids on off-nights. * Guild bank repairs will be provided during raid times for raiding members as bank funds can support it. * Enchants provided by the guild bank for all gear used for specs we actively have you raiding with us.

* You MUST have a stable connection and computer! We're not interested in hearing you couldn't do your job because your computer couldn't perform or having you wipe us because you DC'd!
* Aware players that are able to understand boss mechanics and how they can be manipulated to increase raid efficiency.
* Have a working mic and be able to speak over ventrilo.
* Driven players who do everything they can to maximize their performance including rep and heroic grinding for gear upgrades as well as researching and theorycrafting your class.
* Raid gear must have the best gems and the best enchants that are currently available. No exceptions on this.
* Be able to maintain a 90%+ attendance rate. As a 10 man guild attendance is vitally important to maintaining a tight roster.
* People with a good attitude about progression! Wiping and learning encounters can be frustrating for everyone and we all make mistakes, lets not get bent out of shape about it!
* A good attitude about self-improvement. We're always evaluating your performance and so should you! Take advice well and do everything you can to improve. Repeated mistakes and poor performance will jeopardize your raid spot.
** We're NOT looking for people with ego problems, emo issues, those with a huge sense of entitlement, etc. If you can't keep these things to yourself and out of the guild, please do not apply as there will be zero tolerance for these types of personalities.
Casual and Back-up Raiders:
We're also interested in a building a good secondary raid for alts and casuals who may not be able to commit to a full time schedule but would like to raid with good people. If this applies to you please submit an app and note this in your comments or have an in-guild friend refer you to an officer. Since most of us are new to Ghostlands, an application will provide some basic info for us to get to know you on even if it's only for social status.
