Live Raid Event at Blizzcon

Can someone explain what exactly this is? I see Deathwing sitting there with a bunch of mobs, but i have no clue as to why.

Paragon was given 4 Bosses (Gehennas, Magmadar, Baron Geddon and Shazzrah) all at once tuned to 85.

The second wave was The Beast, Chromaggus and Firemaw also tuned to 85.

The third was a hand full of boss dragons in flight over the ramparts,

Then Deathwing flew over and instantly incinerated them.

It was fun to watch actually.

I think the Devs were so geeked up about Deathwing killing them. They buffed their dps on 1 dragon, instantly killed another....just to get the "surprise" aka Deathwing there quicker.

They did it with Premonition last year, at least I think it was Premonition.

It was fun to watch actually.

It was incredibly fun to watch. I could imagine it might not translate over to the PPV or youtube videos well, though.
