    New weapon type?

    Hi,
    has anyone else noticed this?
When you look at the new weapon enchants on MMO-Champ database (for example db . mmo-champion . com / s / 74246), you can notice in the Requires there are One-Handed Axes, Two-Handed Axes ... and SPEARS. Have they been confirmed as a new weapon type? If so, which classes can use them?
And sorry for bad english, it isn't my native language.

I haven't noticed that but it does seem like an interesting change... though to be honest I have a hunch it might just be classified as a "polearm" since another weapon type isn't that necessary.

May have just renamed Polearms unless they are also listed.

Spears used to be a separate weapon type from polearms, and then the two were merged. There are a few tooltips in the game database that default to still including it, such as enchants. It'll probably be fixed to omit that before Cataclysm launches.

"Spears" have been showing up in tooltips for several years now.
Take a break from politics once in awhile, it's good for you.

In beta Spears were what we call pole-arms now, they just added pole-arm to the tool tip, but never removed spear for some reason.

It's the same thing as Exotics. They show up in tooltips all the time but are unavailable to players.
