    De-selecting target with mouse

I originally had Windows XP and just recently reformated to Windows 7 and had to reinstall WoW. And before I uninstalled; ingame i was able to click on a player and/or target and it would select them and then be able to off click on anything tht couldnt be selected and it would drop the target i had before. Since i reinstalled WoW it wont let me do that anymore. I have to hit esc to drop target rather than clicking nothing. Sorry if that doesnt make sense only way i can describe it. I cant find anything in the interface that shows this.

Please help its just a habit of mine off clicking to de-select a target. I heal so i find myself doing it all the time to heal myself by off clicking instead of hitting esc, its just faster to me. Thank you.

You got to go to interface and de-select sticky targeting

thebeerman is right - it's the "Sticky Targeting" option. It's the top option in the "Controls" section of the Interface panels.

That option seems to have annoyingly been turned on by default with 4.0.1.
That question is coming up quite a lot.

God i hate sticky targeting. It's just so bad when you have a million key bindings already.
