I'd have to think they're too far out for any real chance at the playoffs.
They need 2 more wins just to get to .500. Meanwhile, they'd have to win out and hope for some major collapses by the Cowboys, Lions, Giants, Bears, Saints and Falcons. Two of those teams are going to win the East and the South, so that leaves 4 teams fighting for 2 wildcard spots.
There is absolutely no way they get a wild card spot. They would have to pretty much go 6-0 or 5-1 which means beating Chicago, Philly, and San Fran. The 49ers won't roll over and rest that game because they will still be fighting for home field advantage. Philly and Chicago though are total wild cards. They have three incredibly winnable games left with the terrible Skins, Rams, and Cards so they should come out of the season with a respectable record at least, but I really don't think they are going to get to 9 wins to have even a shot at a wild card. Maybe if TJax didn't get hurt and the terribleness that is Charlie Whitehurst wouldn't have been in they could have been in a better position. With TJax they win that terrible, terrible Cleveland game for sure and 5-5 looks much better right now than 4-6 where the Seahawks have the toughest schedule by far of the 4-6 teams in the NFC (Bucs and Eagles) if they want to get back to a respectable record.

My thought here is that they have to win out to have a shot. That alone isn't very probable at all, but it can happen! Hawks are 4-6 with 3 home games in a row coming up. The people right now that are wildcards are 6-4, there are four of them across the Nfc. That makes them 2 games out with 6 to play, doable just not probable. Stranger things have happened though!
I start to doubt on Chicago in the Playoff after Cutlers injure. I know there is a lot of hate on him, but the last 3 games he have really been doing well. Thank god Bears only have shit teams left(Hi Packers) Hopefully they'll make it to the playoff. Bear down
Edit: Bare in mind Caleb, isn't the wrost QB in the league, we(Bears) could have been stuck with Rivers/Stafford.... Hopefully he'll be able to play at same level as he did last year vs Packers.

Wild card teams right now are both 7-3 in the Lions and Bears.

Cutler gets a lot of unwarranted hatred. I didn't like how he ended last year with going out mid-playoff game with an injury but being okay to go clubbing with his hot girlfriends later that night, but he is a good QB. The Bears have three "tough" games left with the Raiders,
Packers and Vikes on the road. Haney sucks, but you couldn't ask for a better situation to let your backup get his feet under him. The Raiders defense can be incredibly porous. Kansas City can be terrible depending on the week. Same for Denver, although their defense is much improved of late. Seattle is not a good team. That is four decently friendly games in a row he will have a chance to adapt to while the Bears lean on Forte, assuming it is even possible to lean more on Forte than they already do. At this point, I am more comfortable with the Bears getting a playoff spot than I am the Lions who have a much, much tougher set of games left.

Cutler gets hatred because he has a "I don't really care" look on his face all the time. People just don't think he's serious about winning because he's not as emotional as other QB's. Having read into it I guess he's been that way ever since high school. Although he's serious about winning and does get intense over games, he just doesn't show it on his face.
FU =(
I'd say I'm looking forward to you eating those words on Sunday but I know Oakland loves shooting themselves in the foot >.>
Speaking of feet, Jackson won't confirm or deny McFadden returning on Sunday from his sprain, Ford is also unknown for now. More suprisingly he won't rule out Heyward-Bey after his nasty hit and injury last week either, apparently his recovery on Monday was pretty quick which is great news. Janikowski is questionable with a Hamstring following that blocked kick.
Looking forward to this one though, Palmer's really stepped up quickly, he's almost matched Campbell for the season on yards and has equalled him for TD passes. Still feel for Campbell though, the guy turns up to every game and offers advice from the sideline to other players. I don't see us being able to keep both of them next season and release Boller sadly.

Broncos just cut Orton.
What are the odds the Bears are interested? I don't know much about Chicago's backup QB but I'd have to think Orton is a better option. I'd imagine the Texans would have some interest as well.

Both Orton and Quinn are free agents at the end of the season, so Orton was gone either way. I wouldn't say it's a 100% commitment to Tebow ... more like "We'll see what he can do with what's left of the season". At this point, it's either Tebow, draft pick from next year, or possibly a free agent, depending on who is out there. You never know who is going to get cut for salary reasons.
It's about a 0% commitment to Tebow which is honestly the right move. The Tebow system is working right now. I really don't see it long term and right now they are putting about zero effort into developing him as a passer so they must think that there is nothing there at all. They'll let him stick around until he slips up this year, but if he is there next season I will be incredibly surprised.
I think Houston should bring Orton in as a safety net for Leinart. Who knows how that is going to shake out for the Texans until Schaub is back, if he is even back this season in the playoffs. Washington should take a look as clearly Beck isn't the answer and Grossman still can't manage to get out of his own way. I'm not sure how much better Orton is than Grossman though, but I imagine he is at least a little less likely to shoot his team in the foot every other week. Him going back to Chicago would surprise me for sure. Maybe Seattle takes a look in the offseason if they still aren't sold on TJax. I'd say Miami, but Moore seems to be working out pretty damn well right now lol.
I think Denver is going to look to the draft next year and I think there is a very real chance they get a guy like Landry Jones from Oklahoma assuming he is still on the board when they pick. Kirk Cousins from Michigan State wouldn't be a bad option. He is the type of QB that can manage games for you without making the big mistakes.

Orton to Chiefs. Knew he'd go there right when I heard he was released.
As a Chiefs fan I'm excited to see him with our team, ready to get the season back on track and hopefully say goodbye to Cassel.
You're right they are 7-3. No clue what I was looking at there. Look Seattle doesn't suck as bad as their record says. But 3 behind with 6 games to go may just be too much. The Hawks will do a lot, if nothing more than pride, to win the next two weeks alone. For a wildcard though it looks like I have to pray for the Bears or Lions to fold. In their division I may just get lucky =D. BTW I'm tellin' it right now Forte aint running shit against the Hawks right now.

Pretty sure we'll stick with Tavaris, unless a draft day move helps us get a solid pick for a QB. Like it or not I think coach thinks TJack is fine. It's more likely you'll see Whitehurst dropped if anything. You will not see another trade or signing for a middle of the road QB though, we have that already.
Yeah Tebow wont last unless he makes giant strides in his game before the end of next years camp. I don't even see them trying to make him a good QB they're just making him good enough for now. That isn't to say he can't have a few more years of back-up though.

I like to see them try and remain competitive, but I doubt he'll be your saving grace this season. As much as it stings it may be Oaklands year for that division.

Texans just get the raw deals. I was really starting to think with Indy taking the year off that they'd own it =/ sucky
I am by no means a huge tebow supporter, but after watching "first take" and various other espn shows, and seeing some comments here, I cannot help but be flabbergasted. With him as the QB, the broncos are 4-1 this season. With orton, 1-4. Obviously some schedule issues, but you cannot change the fact that he has among the highest winning % of starting quarterbacks in the league playing right now, for this season. He has thrown only one interception, and many touchdowns and rushing tds.
I know it can be annoying to hear about him all the time (I am certainly sick of the "LOL HE IS RELIGIOUS" or "LOL HE SHULD BE A FULLBACK!!!" all day on ESPN) but you cannot change the fact that with him as a starter, he has more wins then many entire teams seasons thus far.
He has more wins this season then Cam Newton, in half the starts. He has more wins then a couple teams in the last YEAR AND A HALF! and he still cannot catch a break from people.
/rantoff...sorry just upset that with him as qb his team has double my teams wins so far this year (Vikings) yet people still rip on him constantly.
Can't discount the defense. Every win has happened not in a small way related to how Denver's defense is playing. Von Miller is playing like a madman and I love it. Too small to play in the NFL my ass. Tebow's been great about capitalizing on strong defensive stops, though. It seems like the team loves the guy, so if they keep playing well and he keeps being able to take advantage of great defense then I can see more wins happening.
The only tangible good thing about his passing is the lack of interceptions. Although that's largely due to simply not throwing the ball much, he's pretty consistent about throwing balls nobody can catch, rather than balls that everybody can catch. His completion percentage is also not entirely his fault -- Eric Decker dropped quite a few well-thrown passes, as have other Denver receivers. It's a very young team though, and so long as they get a little better each week then there's nothing to worry about. Elway said that he's not really expecting big plays in the passing game this season because of how radical their lineup changes have been during the season. Offseason is going to see a lot of improvement for all aspects of the passing game, I think.
----
Orton to the Chiefs is uhhh, well I sort of feel sorry for them. I was never really convinced he was that good to begin with because he never seemed to play well in big drives. He's accurate which is nice, but once he's pressured then he's done for the game. One of the most frail guys I've seen play the position.
---
Houston got shat on my Murphy and his damned law.
I saw the Buccaneers at Wembley, since then we have gone sooooooo down hill.
Please, avoid trolling, but what do you think is needed for my team to be back on some good form for the rest of this now-wrong-going season?
