XP for mining - XP for skinning?

Yeah but its not like every mob you fight is a beast... In WotLK the only beasts I can think of are the occasional grazing rhinos in Borean, and the Mammoths/Worms near Hodir dailies.

I'm guessing you never went to Sholazzar? That's pretty much only beasts roaming around.. same with Howling fjord.

it's not like every node you find is a herb or ore(opposite your proff)

and while you may get unlucky streaks with those, (damn bots) you can normally sit at a spot, and skin to your hearts content.
and skin other peoples looted mobs, (can you herb other peoples herbed nodes?)

as well as getting exp from the mob you killed, and the loot from it, vendor trash greens rares epics...

no, skinning should not give exp.
