Thoughts on this being used for fury now, with the increased suckiness of its Agi competition since the patch. For myself specifically compared to the Heroic Stakethrower.

For PvP it is a good choice and quite cheap.

For PvE Rowan's is cheap on my server. It has hit and you can reforge the dodge to crit.

You can't reforge Rowan's Rifle of Silver Bullets to get extra str..

Dreamhunters Carabine heroic is another option

43 strength, a socket and reforge potential.

I don't know if it's a decent option, but I know of a gun in Ulduar (Trash loot) that has strenth on it, it's actually a DPS strength gun, no tanking stats. Just Crit and Haste.

I'd definitely keep Stakethrower over the pvp weapon. Probably take the Dreamhunter's Carbine if I raid again before Cata.

Your math failed you on the comparison. Str is still our strongest stat, and although crit is very important now, because the lack of it, straight agi items are not worth the Str loss anymore.

Thus Dreamhunter's Carbine is best cuz of it's 43+20=63 str.
Then comes Stakethrower, Rowan's Rifle of Silver Bullets and Wrathful Gladiator's Edge on somewhat equal standings. Wrathful Gladiator's Edge is the most obtainable choice being so cheap(equivalent of a few won Random BG).
