Interface copying problems..

So! Today I set out upon the laborious task of making a new ui! 5 hours later I finished and was very relieved. This was of course until I tried to copy the UI to another one of my characters by means of the WTF folder...then I wanted to cry. PLEASE HALP!

A lot of addons rely on profiles, so check the settings in game to use the same profile you set up on your first character to use the same settings.

I would second what Lawomous said.

I use the same UI for all of my characters. For each addon I create a profile named Default with all of my settings in it. Then when I log onto a new character, I take a minute to switch each addon to that profile. Once you do it a couple of times, it's really easy and quick.

That seems to have done the trick..I tried last night but I guess I was poking around the wrong profiles...Thanks fellas!

You can use Reflux to switch between two profiles easily, if you're planning to add it to any more characters. Simply type /reflux snapshot Randomnamehere to create a profile with your current UI on it, then log into the character you wish to copy it to and type /reflux switch Randomnamehere. This will reload the UI and the UI from your main character will be there. It's most commonly used to switch between two UIs, if you're also interested in that.
