Alchemy and Epic Gems

I know the epic gems have not been implemented into Cata yet, but I was wondering if there is any information on whether Alchemists will be able to transmute epic gems as well as blue? Being able to transmute blue quality gems is nice. I just hope I can still transmute epics when the time comes. Since BC we've been able to; so I'm going to hope they keep with precedent. If anyone has any info on this or if there is a post about it already please point me in that direction.

They have blue gems, but not any epic ones at the time. Sure we will be able to do them.
