Best Preraid Cataclysm Frost 2Hand Gear

Hi,

I've been looking into what gear I'm going for in Cataclysm, Pre raiding, and I decided to post my findings on the forums.
Strenght, haste and mastery will be the most powerfull stats for frost 2hand DKs, and the guide is based on that.
If you disagree with anything, or find some mistakes, please don't hesitate to correct me

I haven't used any gear that is crafted, world drops or gained with Valor points (Not that I'm aware of anyway, could be the Unknowns are)

Anyway. As you can see, there isn't much hit/expertise on the gear, so getting to the cap will be done by gemming and reforging. I find it easier to tweak the numbers that way, and it's easier to do changes when you get upgrades.

The shoulders scare me I'm guessibng a miss click link wise we dont need dodge no matter how much the stats are on those. I'd rather have a ilevel 333 with better itemization than sacrificing a stat weight for dodge which does us no good in dps numbers.

It seems really strange to have heroic 5 mans dropping 'heroic' versions of their normal counterparts.

Sword of the Bottomless pit is miles ahead of Wild Hammer though, exact same stats but .2 seconds slower, it just blows WH out of the water.

Idk about the dodge in the shoulders, is dodge reforgeable?

About the weps I would go Bottemless pit for sure, same stats but slower so more wep damage. EDIT: Damn you Monolith =P

Looks like you put a lot of thought into this I'm just going to think about it when it comes around

Mark of Khadros looks amazing, 1min CD to stack with Pillar of frost ftw

Aside from weps I wonder if this list would change for dual Weild.

also: better shoulders, prolly the ones he ment to link: Raz's Pauldrons

or Pauldrons of the High Requiem if the expertise is more desierable than the mastery (since we do want to be capped)

theres 2-3 tank items also,that would depend on your stat values, 20-30str being worth 100-120 rating give/take

sword helps expertise alot, youll need 780-781 at 85 to cap

You buy the Helm of Easeful Death in Orgrimmar from the Justice Points Vendor. Greaves of Gallantry are also purchased at the Justice Points Vendor. Both cost 2200 Justice Points.
