I enjoy kara very much but it's Ulduar 100%
Ulduar is a relatively simple, straightforward instance, whereas Kharazhan was just all over the place, and had all sorts of neat random things. While Ulduar was fun and challenging at the time, and was quite in-depth, I just feel that Kharazhan just had that kind of fun quality to it that made it an amazing raid.
To me Ulduar was the best raid ever made but I have to give kara the fun prize. Some fight were hilarious.
Both raids had fun fights, but I would have to pick Ulduar simply because I am a sucker for titan lore lol. Plus Karazhan was too gloomy for my taste. It had its fun moments but not fun enough to make me choose it over Ulduar.
You herp not malchezzar alone but also the armies he derps
Khara was much more unique. Each encounter had it's own style environment wise. Ulduar was awesome. The train to Mimiron was definitely a wow factor for me. Beautifully done. And Algalon's room was mind blowingly cool, but overall I have to go with Khara.
This is a really tough choice because I really enjoyed both raids. So I voted based upon my experiences with the raids when I first went through them. I remember having a lot more fun with Ulduar initially than I did Karazhan, but I think a large part of that was because of the guilds I was in at the time.

Kara hands down but I still prefer the required key quest and I don't agree with bring the player not the class, my first toon was a warrior and I didn't like it so I rolled a huntard after I learned what the game was about.
Ulduar is the best raid blizzard ever created
Kara is a better instance imo, in terms of design, diversity, atmosphere and story/lore (yeah, yogg-saron being held by the titan's lieutenants was cool, but the whole Medivh/guardian thing is one of my favorite bits of lore). The boss fights were cool (Opera, Chess, Netherspite and Aran really come to mind there). Outside of Yogg, algalon and perhaps mimiron, I really felt the bosses in uld were so-so at best.
However, uld was certainly more challenging, and since I farmed kara 2 to 3 times a week for 2 years+ (stupid badge runs on my alts) vs. 4 months or so of really hitting ulduar seriously, ulduar never lost its magic like kara did. Karazhan also had the most not-epic end boss ever (lawl malchezar?).
The best part about uld was that Yogg-Saron was possibly the best boss fight in the entire game from Van Cleef to Arthas, with the very discrete phases, the awesome lore, the sanity mechanic, the brain portals (loved the bolvar/saurfang one)... the whole thing was great. Algalon's room of magical seizures is also really neat with some fun mechanics.
So I voted kara, but it's not like uld was bad.
<3 Kara - I'm so sick of Ulduar.
I think I've proclaimed my love for Kara and my hatred for Ulduar about 920,842 times since I joined these forums. It's a no-brainer for me. I have my new afk spot next to the gryphons on the tower once Cata hits.<3

In my opinion, anyone who says Ulduar didn't experience Karazhan when it was first released (considering most people haven't played since that long ago).
While Ulduar was amazing, Karazhan easily has had a much better reception in comparison.

You've fallen into a Sarchasm.
It's the gap between someone being sarcastic, and you picking up on that sarcasm.
i spent a lot more time in kara then i ever did in ulduar so i cant really say but what i did do was very fun and challenging n both have very epic feel to them like karas upper reaches and ulds decent of madness
