Solar is a new 10man Cataclysm Guild, established on Sylvanas, focused on fast progress through all the upcoming Cataclysm raids. The philosophy of the guild is to establish a core group of raiders that are equally capable in multiple specs of their class ensuring high adaptability, performance and teamwork for all the different encounters. It is of fundamental importance that the members are willing to progress, and give their utmost to ensure that the guild progress is fast and continuous.


The officers and most of the members of this guild were previously raiding 25man HC ICC with 11/12HC, but eventually we decided to shift to 10man raiding in Cataclysm and form our very own core of members. This is due to the fact that 10man raiding is more appealing to us, more fun, easier to control and drops same loot as 25man raids.All of our members and officers have high end-game experience in WOTLK hardmode encounters, including:

ICC 10 HC 11/12 (didn't have time to get LK down since patch due to shared lockout with previous 25man guild)
ICC 25HC 11/12
RS 25 1/1
RS 10HC 1/1



At the moment we are focusing to get a raid going to down LK 10Man on HC with ease as practice for cataclysm. Currently, we are recruiting players of almost all specs and classes. It is important to take a note of the following list, to ensure that you fall into the category of players that we are looking for to join our active core group of raiders:



Check:

We require members that are active for all the raid days and times that have been set up for the guild. Raid times: Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday and possibly Monday 19:00-23:00 Server Time. Raid times could be extended a bit in the case of immediate progress.

Members that are prepared for all the encounters, by reading and watching the encounters before the raid commences.

Members that are capable in multiple specs of their class. We require a solid core of active, skilled and dedicated members, that are capable to cover multiple specs available for play, to adapt in any possible encounter in a 10man raid scenario. You must be knowledgeable and effective in both specs. Hence, it is vital that your main and off spec gear are good enough for that level of raiding and are fully glyphed, enchanted, gemmed etc...

We cannot recruit players that are only capable of playing effectively in just one spec. We expect you to be cooperative with the officers if they ask you to change to your off spec regularly, and that you maximize your effort into progress even if you are not playing with your main spec. If you are not willing to play regularly with your off spec when needed for the guild, then please do not apply.



What we want:

We want highly skilled players that will help us reach our goal of becoming one of the best in fast progressing 10man Cataclysm guilds on the server. Our aim is to reach the Top 100 guild EU, (TOP 3 in server) so if you wish to join our ranks, please make sure that you are capable in helping us achieving this goal.

We want players that have enough experience with their class and specs in hard-mode encounters from Wrath of the Lich King and previous expansions.

Members that are fully prepared for the raid, with buffs, reagents, flasks and potions. Punctuality for raids is obligatory, failure in notifying any of the officers before the raid about your absence, is not tolerated.

Members that are sociable, and fun to play with. This is one other reason why we want a solid core of members. We want to get to know each other personally, and that you get to know us. Progress should be fast but also fun. Hence, we wish that all members speak on vent regularly. We want to be playing with YOU, as a person, we don't want you to be just a random player. Your feedback in raids is fundamental.
