Looking for a bear weapon available in heroics

Hey all,

I just decided to give feral tanking a try. Been tanking with my Paladin since BC, and my DK since LK came out. Wanted something different. I'm not really that well geared yet, and would like some advice on a decent weapon I can get from heroics. I don't have time to raid so sadly that's not an option.

from heroics, I know heroic HOR, fleeing from the LK yields a solid 2h for bears, and H TOC yielded another polearm, of which I'm using now.

if they're cheap enough on your server, you can do the quel'delar quest chain, it has a feral weapon in the quest rewards.

Violet Hold final boss Staff of Trickery would be a decent start. Then Orca Hunters Harpoon from Marwyn out of HOR or Marrow Stike off Paltress in TOC

The weapons recommended by everyone else are excellent choices. Of the suggestions offered, a low priced http://db.mmo-champion.com/i/50379/battered-hilt/ would yield the http://db.mmo-champion.com/i/50052/lightborn-spire/ (the Feral option for the http://db.mmo-champion.com/i/50049/q...f-the-scorned/) which is your best option.

Another great option not mentioned is http://db.mmo-champion.com/i/51431/w...diators-staff/ for which you can farm honor from battlegrounds rather than relying upon drops.

Since I'm here... what should I enchant my weapon with? I've seen Mongoose suggested, just don't want to spend the coin unless it's really the right choice!

If you are at least revered with Kirin Tor, you can also get http://db.mmo-champion.com/i/44174/s...ded-mysteries/. Pretty cheap and easy to get, at least until you can get your hands on something else.

Massacre (+110 AP) is a great passive weapon enchant to use for Feral.
I dunno if Blood Draining works for Ferals yet or not, but if it did, would be another contender (though expensive).

Mongoose or Blood Draining for tanking. I'd personally lean towards Blood Draining, as it gives you a mediocre buffer in-case you get low in HP, given you're guaranteed to have the stacks with your Lacerate always on the mob(s) you're tanking.

wrathful glad's staff. 264 with great stam for less than 3k honor.
Although you may wish to get the above mentioned weapons if u lack the time to farm bgs.
Personally I ran icc 5mans daily until a hilt dropped.
Theres also a passable 219 polearm called tower of the mouldering corpse. Drops from normal devourer of souls... plus u can chain this dungeon cos its normal.

Get the Harpoon from Falric in Heroic Halls of Reflection. That one's easy enough.

Best choice would be the wrathful staff, but it obviously requires abit of BG farming.. The nice thing about it is that you are 100% sure to get it eventually, no stupid drop chances or spending several thousands of gold on a hilt.. If your server/faction win WG alot, doing all the weeklies there when they are available is a very good way to boost your honor

Wrathful Staff is the best you'll get pre raid. Took me about two days to grind mine out (while studying during downtime). 264 weapon. - If you haven't been using your honour on gems, you might even have a fair amount. All bosses now award a bit of honour too.

Other than that. Quel'Delar (Lightborne Spire) is the next best pre-raid - Its 2.5k gold for the hilt on my server. 251 weapon

Next best is the Orca-Hunters Harpoon from Heroic HoR (first or second boss - one of them) 232 weapon
