Wuxia/xianxia is a traditional genre of Chinese fantasy. There's a lot of novels published by online writers and quite recently translating them to English seems to have gotten popular.

It's damn entertaining to read, if nothing else.

Well, he just linked forums of a site hosting wuxia translations. Try reading Coiling Dragon from that site, for example. Give it a toleration period for initial book since it starts slow - but after that setup period it gets going and never slows down. The translator doing it is great - he's popping out 2-3 chapters each day and the quality is top notch. He can actually speak English - and that seems to be a lost art amongst many online translators. >.>

Didn't start MGA, but if there's one thing to be said about wuxia it's the protagonists never disappoint. It's refreshing to read a story where the main character's route of revenge only stops after killing everyone even remotely involved in whatever it is he's avenging, instead of the lame "forgive and forget" angle so often employed in fiction

Oh I know I can see myself getting tired of it if I binge read all of those types, but its so much better than some bullshit forgiveness of someone who killed your family etc.
