So, I finished the 3rd Vampire Hunter D book, watching Bloodlust since it's based on it. But holy shit, I don't know if this is exclusive to the dub but, Danpeal...? Really? What the fuck is a Danpeal? Why are they not saying Dhampir? Why would you change that? WHY WHY WHY?
Leila, what did they do to you.. why.. the hair... why... ;_; It's Doris from the first movie all over again... uuurgh.. dese designs.. so bad... sooo bad.

should put that in your post then (that you're talking about one piece)
pretty confusing otherwise!
looking at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_One_Piece_episodes
the dub is at episode 205 which is a few hundred episodes behind (well that was last year so add about 50sh episodes)
but a decent amount of the episodes are different....

"The sky's will rain fire." "The oceans will boil." "The streets will run red with the blood of billions only then when your last pitiful hope is extinguished will I end your life lets go."
Thanks! Yeah, sorry, Trigun just didn't click with me. I wouldn't have finished it if it weren't for my little brother (I was trying to get him to watch Steins;Gate, so we made a deal. I finish Trigun, he starts watching Steins;Gate). And as for theme/concepts, really I've taken to watching either. I do especially like anime that make me think about a familiar sci-fi concept in a way different from the norm.
It's not on crunchyroll... >.<
I'll check netflix and hulu though. I haven't yet.

You could try Noein, time travelling/alternate dimensions sci-fi series from 2005. I enjoyed it quite a bit, just recently finished it.
Yeah, I know what it is, I was saying that's the funniest reference I've read about so far. I wouldn't understand anything from Tsukihime, though.
And also because Arcueid > Saber.
They announced late last year that they had picked up the rights to dub up to around episode 260ish but I am not sure if they have released those.
As far as I know Funimation still releases subbed episodes an hour after they air on their own website and then posts them on hulu.com. They have been doing that for awhile now.
Madoka spoiler reference.
Best movie ticket. 10/10
Haha, that's hilarious. Reminds me of some very creative cosplaying involving that spoiler, could probably find it on google if I was feeling less lazy.
Does anyone know the release dates for the Madoka movies? Ugh, it'll probably be a pretty long wait for us, unless we want to watch a subbed camcorder version. I remember waiting ages for the Haruhi movie to come out on blu-ray because the camcorder version was absolute crap.
Well Disappearance was subbed within a week of airing, but the only way to watch it was from someone who recorded it with a pretty crappy camcorder of some kind, like I said above. It started airing in theaters February 6th of 2010, and then didn't come out on blu-ray until December 18th. After the blu-ray was released you could get the really high quality releases that everyone's using now within days, I'm pretty sure. I watched it on Christmas myself, a nice little treat. Anyways, getting back on topic, with how popular Madoka is I'm sure there'll be a camcorder rip pretty quickly, but it will be really bad. The 3rd movie is what most people are interested in, but it probably won't be until the end of 2013 that it comes out on blu ray so people can release a high quality version.
Basically, it depends on how well you can tolerate a really shitty and wobbly video. I personally can't tolerate it at all, so I'll be in for a pretty long wait. There's no problem with series on TV because they can pull the raws as they're airing, but it's just a lot trickier with movie theaters.

Two Kurisutina avatars, now two Sayas. I can see the confusion.
