Media player works fine, most anime these days are encoded in h264 which is supported natively afaik. That, or you can download a quick codec.

Doesn't it run into issues with 10 bit anime, though? I remember back when I used to use just VLC, it couldn't properly play 10 bit anime. I'd just get a green screen and sound. And from what I understand, VLC can play a lot more different types of files than windows media player can.


I use the k-lite codec pack with windows media player classic and it has worked for me so far.

Yeah read up some more and WMP doesn't even support h264 natively and needs a codec to decode 99% of anything you want to play unless its not encoded. Sigh. 10bit playing would be wishful thinking.

VLC is also filled with random crappy things you can change, making it a memory hog and it's a poorly optimized program. Try running a 4K video in VLC and MPC HC and you'll see a major difference in how it plays.

I loved this episode, I like it when it really goes into the world in this show. Action scenes are fine, but I can watch this show easily with absolutely no action scenes and still adore it. It's so fun seeing how people live on Gargantia.

its not like i didnt like this susei no gargantia episode but i actually hoped it wouldnt turn in to a complete slice of life anime after the first few ep's ^^ MAL says it only has 12 episodes so its going to be interesting what happens in the last 7 ep's

Just finished watching Maoyuu Maou Yuusha and whilst it was good and started strong, I found the ending to be weak and sort of cliff hanger-esque.

I hope they do a second season otherwise i'm not sure what todo.

Eh, Dusk Maiden of Amnesia dub is decent... I guess. I just hate it when they use honorifics in dubs, it sounds absolutely stupid.

had the fan translation. JAST USA released it with nitroplus USA in an official english copy.
no clue if the jap version is uncensored but the usa release is.
