End all of Rated BG QQ'ing

Attention all clickers, s key rangers, welfare wrathful buyers, and bg heroes. People are continuing to post threads complaining about how rated bg's are not accommodated to the common bg'er. So i thought I'd help settle the dust.

Rated Battlegrounds
Want to know why Blizzard is making it similar to Arena? It's because its an alternative to arena. It is supposed to involve some sort of organization and difficulty. What does high rated arena play require? Skill and coordination. What do current battlegrounds and low rated arena play require? Killing the straggler or the poorest geared person by spamming any spell on your bar. Blizzard is attempting to create a more competitive battleground system so would you expect it to be the exact same as current battlegrounds? It is an attempt to create more competitive battleground play and attract better pvper's (aka people who do well in arena) back to battlegrounds. Others have complained in several posts that they dont want to have to create a premade to enter a rated battleground and that they're stuck bg'ing with bads in regular matches. Well i guess that says something about the kind of player you are. If you're too lazy to learn how to actually play your class correctly and understand how your class works, as well as others, then stick to regular "pvp".

PvP Gear
The basic pvp gear will be available to buy with honor earned from REGULAR bg's. Oh whats that you say? There will be gear differences? You're right! The better pvper's will have the same armor with the same stats as yours but in a different color! It is really starting to get silly how much casual "pvpers" are complaing. You get all the same gear as us except it wont be the same color and you even get a welfare pvp weapon. But i know people are going to complain it wont have the same stats as the high rated teir 2 weapon, but there's a reason why! Because you get what you work for.

So i know this is going to upset BG Heroes and people that think current battlegrounds are the epitome of pvp, Cata will be a slap back to reality for all of you.

Well, you had good points, tone killed it though. And I clicked throughout bc and did well...course keypad fixed all of that. Rated BGs are requiring a slightly different skillset, more strategy based than arenas. There are some people who are great in BGs, but just can't stand to do arenas. Personally, I like BGs but I am not an arena person, especially with rated BGs we wont be locked with specific people.

PvP doesn't require skill? So what your saying is that any yahoo can enter a global arena tournament and win based soely on the fact that they have some form of common sense? Very good points. I understand some players do prefer battlegrounds over arena like you said, and rated battlegrounds will be a great alternative to arena and being stuck with specific people. It's more of the general community that hasn't grasped this concept yet

Rated bgs are for the pvp-ers who don't give a shit about the arena for several reasons:
- fotm comps (play one or be screwed)
- pillar porn (hump some pillars in AB, bitches). Still remember a match where I chased some fucking disc priest around some boxes in dalaran sewers arena for 3 minutes. Fun, baby...NOT. Guess what: no boxes in EOTS.
- tremendous pressure on individual skill (I wouldn't say I'm a noob but I don't want an entire match to depend on mine or the partner's skill because then fun stops and it starts to look like work and if I wanted that I would stay at my day job 24/7)

Lolarena. Can't wait till the arena freaks get their 30 min queues because, and this might come as a shock to certain ppl, the vast majority of pvp-ers don't even like arena and they will focus on rated bgs. Gladiators will be the new twinks with their own pvp enviroments and we all know how that ended.

by the way. people seem to be hailing rated bg's as something that will mean an improvement to regular pug bg's. No it won't be. it will be as status quo is now. once all the guys get their arena/pvp gear from arenas/rateds they'll form up their groups again and farm the undergeared scrubs that click for fun.
